The Magpie Dance communication training is focused on professionals who want to be able to enable their clients and or patients to express themselves and be better understood, often using non-verbal methods.
The Magpie creative communication training can be applied to any workforce who wishes to improve their ability to communicate effectively with people with learning disabilities.
The workshop will start with a creative physical session focusing on non-verbal communication, giving choices and developing trust. This will be followed by analysis and discussion and practical planning for implementing the techniques into the day to day work of the participants.
This package could be anything from 2 hours to a day.
The session will be led by 2 experienced Magpie facilitators with live music.
Outcomes for attendees:
- Practical non-verbal communication ideas
- The confidence to communicate effectively with clients/patients who have learning disabilities
- A set of tools and a resource pack to work inclusively with people who have learning disabilities
